Ice cream, sunshine, breezes touching the skin after a long winter period is like manna from heaven. Add some good music like VOCES8, your favourite beverage, some good conversation that lifts the soul and you have just created a very special memory. This is what spring leading into summer is all about. Oh, and what about including a visit to a favourite beach to feel the power of mother nature’s waves hit your body uncontrollably, to lubricate a tired spirit? There is no doubt, this time of year in all its colourful floral and natural glory is what I adore.
Around me in these days is a realization that everyone is breathing a sigh of relief as the tourist season is back in full swing. In 2023, there was a good season, but so far 2024 looks to be bursting at the seams with everyone who has a hunger for touring, choosing to hit the road and enjoy the sweetness of life for a few days or even weeks.
However, behind the sweetness of life, the powers that be by what I read, are releasing worrisome reports. What with the sale of arms at the core of ongoing wars and the potential of scientists looking into strains of bird flu that could yet reap havoc, it is wise to be vigilant, never mind the epidemic of mass migration changing how populations in the west experience life.
To be honest I admire and always have, those who have been able to take life into their hands on a practical level. I am thinking of smallholders both in urban and rural environments. They are rich in practical skill and also very intelligent how they educate the younger generation. Those that simply choose to live near nature or with an awareness of it, we can all learn a lot from.
So, what is happening behind the scenes of Sylvia Live in these days. Answer? Preparations are now underway to begin releasing new content at some stage in June. Behind the scenes some key members of the team have experienced health challenges among other situations which unfortunately delayed plans for releasing new podcast episodes. All I can say at this point is; there is no defined date in June yet for a new Sylvia Live to become visible, but stay tuned to our socials. Interviews are being recorded at this time, so we will have lots for you to browse through soon.
