Introducing The Power of Performance
My own story when it comes to performance has been an experience of downs and ups. I can tell you what it feels like to fail but ultimately succeed. Figuring out how that process happens step by step, has been my journey.
The Power of Performance (#TPOP) is a location that has been created to take a student or would-be musician from the very beginning and give pointers along the way to achieve their Dream Musical Sound. Over the years I have observed different types of students and their needs, many times not being met, and thus they never achieve what they envisioned when they started out. I have seen wasted money and wasted talent, and I have seen ultimately what it takes to succeed. #TPOP is here to shed light on topics that you may not hear spoken about too often.
Let’s be honest, it is hard to navigate all the options of learning out there. With the online world versus the real world, and all the distractions, it is difficult to figure out the best way forward considering the time and energy invested from a student’s and parent’s point of view where applicable.
#TPOP is your location to get questions answered when it comes to music education and growth. It is a place where a light is held for those of you who find the idea of performing difficult. It is also those of you who have a strong dream, but you can’t seem to make it happen for one reason or another.
Social media such as Youtube videos can be so inspirational, but what I have seen is that many forget about what goes on behind the scenes to make those videos so amazing. There is a process that takes place and very often that process is hidden from sight. No longer! #TPOP aims to answer questions concerning the HOW so as to achieve the DREAM.
The musical learning journey is a one of complete discovery and when you get the basics right, you will find that life opens up in a new way and life without music is just not possible. The arts whether it is poetry, or music or other forms, is a world that us humans need. It allows us to tap into that side of us that is full of compassion and empathy for our fellow humans. We become better problem solvers and we live a more inspired balanced life. Who wouldn’t want that?
