It never ceases to amaze me that when a seed is planted, without much effort, a tip of new growth appears above the soil, and Voilà! You have the beginnings of a productive and healthy plant. The little effort required for this to happen from the human perspective is marvelling. Soil, sun, moisture and temperature take care of what is needed, and we, us humans, gain all the benefits we set out for.
The motivation for my return to the world of gardening was to grow herbs, onions and garlic as what is available in shops locally (including organic produce) has no flavor. I was complaining for months, so now the time has come to pull out the gloves and pots I had stored away and rediscover a passion. Walking into two local gardening centres this season has awakened an addiction that I have been keeping under wraps for some time.
I hope those of you who read these wandering thoughts of mine, will get inspired to have a go yourself. Connecting to nature at this time of year in the northern hemisphere is a wonderful gift. Of recent I have been witness to a number of loved ones in my circle experiencing different forms of ill health. All they can think of is returning to full health. It has made me so aware of the need for to taking ones own health seriously. This is with regards to the food we eat, the efforts required to keep the body moving, keeping our brains and intellect from getting stagnant and most of all feeding our spirit with what inspires us to keep our heads up and smiling.

Yes, the world I am painting is mostly a beautiful experience and I do not overlook the traumas that hit populations here and there across the globe from wars, pestilences and climate changes. Listening to a radio program over the weekend, there is no doubt but the climate is changing and therefore having a knock on effect within the world of agriculture and nature. But I have to say, if us humans learn our lessons well, we are resilient and can make change happen for the good of all. I repeat with emphasis, ‘make change happen, for the good of all.’
The world of psychology if used appropriately can help us all to heal from the wounds and traumas many of us have experienced. But if there is no will to work and make the effort for healing ones own psyche, nothing will change, both on a personal level right through to national and global levels.
At heart I am a simple person and it probably comes across in my writings. However, I do know that change in one persons life for the good has a ripple effect. I have witnessed the impact of such individuals who have made positive personal changes. These efforts, if done with moral and ethical values, without the limiting perceptions of generational baggage, an ‘amazingness’ can be achieved.
I can hear some of you say ‘UTOPIANISM’! Well my response is, if us humans dream and have a dream, a beautiful dream, and we commit, new possibilities will arise and we can enter a world that we could never even have thought up would exist for us. And at some point in the future, you could look back and say to yourself with a beaming smile ‘wow, how did this all happen?!’

Now, I generously place the onus on you, it is your turn to stand up and be counted. What are you going to do with the life you have been given? What are you going to dream and then turn it into an amazing experience for yourself and others around you?
I would love to hear your story, your hopes and dreams for Your future. Connect with me where you circulate on social media, whether it be Facebook, Linkedin, etc, or better still, send me an email by going to the contact page on the sylvialive.com website.
